LINCOLN – The University of Nebraska-Lincoln conferred 3,566 degrees during commencement exercises May 3, 17 and 18.

Several Cedar County athletes took part in last week’s State track meet at Omaha Burke Stadium. 

OMAHA – The Cedar Catholic track teams competed in a competitive 2024 Nebraska Track and Field Championships at Omaha Burke Stadium May 17 and 18.

OMAHA – Seven Hartington-Newcastle track athletes made the trip to Omaha May 17 and 18 to compete in the 2024 Nebraska Class D Track and Field Championships.

OMAHA – Senior Blue Devils Chase Schroeder and Dylan Heine each brought home a medal from the 2024 Nebraska Class D Track Championships held May 1718 at Omaha Burke Stadium.

HARTINGTON - Cedar Catholic ended its golf season here May 14 in the District C-2 Golf Tournament held at the Hartington Golf Course.

NORTH PLATTE – Stormy weather delayed the start of the NSAA Class D Boys Golf Championships at Lake Maloney Golf Club. Complete results of the State Tournament and a wrap-up of the Hartington-Newcastle golf season will be published next week, along with a special congratulatory page.
