HARTINGTON – Karlyn E. “Connie” Lewis, 100, Hartington, died March 25, 2024, at Arbor Care Center, Hartington. Her husband was Walt Lewis.

HARTINGTON – Steve Shank, 71, Hartington, died March 24, 2024, at Arbor Care Center, Hartington, following a stroke a couple weeks ago.

MITCHELL, S.D. – Kevin Paul Kruger, 62, son of Helen (Dickes) and Lawrence, died of cancer Feb. 21, 2024, while under the care of hospice.

KEARNEY – Isabelle Heimes has talked her way to an individual State speech title.

WAYNE – Wayne State College’s Fred G. Dale Planetarium is set to present special Easter showings of “The Sistine Chapel” March 29-31.

KEARNEY – Even though the Cedar Catholic High School speech team was disappointed with its State meet showing, it was still proud of its overall season.

HARTINGTON – Cedar Catholic welcomed a new track coach this spring in Blair Kalin.

WYNOT – Wynot track coach Lee Heimes welcomed 13 Blue Devils and 10 Lady Blue Devils to the track this past week with seven athletes returning with state track experience.
