LINCOLN – Cedar Catholic was recently named the Class D winner of the 2022-2023 Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) Cup.

NORFOLK - Tyan Baller, Jaxson Bernecker from Cedar Catholic and Jake Rath from Laurel-Concord-Coleridge had a significant impact on the game that unfolded at the Cox Activities Center here on the campus of Northeast Community College.

WYNOT – The Wynot Expos dropped a South Central South Dakota League contest to the Lesterville Broncs, June 1, 14-7, at home.

NORFOLK – Makenna Noecker from Cedar Catholic, Alivia Morten from Hartington-Newcastle and Amber Lawson from Wynot played in the Northeast Nebraska All-Star Basketball Game the evening of June 2 at the Cox Activities Center on the campus of Northeast Community College.

HARTINGTON – The Senior American Legion team took to the field for the second time this season last Wednesday. They made quick work of the contest, earning a 15-0 win over visiting Randolph.

NORTH PLATTE - For the second time in three years, the Hartington-Newcastle boys’ golf team completed its season in the Nebraska Class D Golf Championships at Lake Maloney Golf Course in North Platte.

NORFOLK – As the summer all-star circuit heats up for football, basketball and volleyball; several area athletes are set to play in the Northeast Community College basketball game Friday, June 2 at the Cox Activities Center with the girls’ game to tip off at 6 p.m. and the boys’ game scheduled for an 8 p.m. tip.

HARTINGTON – Softball is back in Hartington and the 18U and 12U teams were busy making things happen as they try to follow up an impressive 2022 summer with an encore.

GOTHENBURG – Will Feilmeier and Aiden Collier recently competed in the Nebraska Middle School State Track and Field Meet in Gothenburg.
