WYNOT – Wynot took on Wayne in the battle of the Blue Devils on Thursday night at Wynot. The game was close at halftime but W ayne would dominate the second half as they rolled to the 65-42 win.

HARTINGTON – Hartington-Newcastle dropped its final two games of the regular season to a highly regarded Wynot team on Feb. 10 61-32 and a Wausa team the Lady Wildcats had just beaten in the finals of the Clark Division Tournament.

BATTLE CREEK – The Cedar Catholic Lady Trojan basketball team finished the regularseason with a couple of wins and earned the right to host the D1-4 SubDistrict Tournament Feb. 14 and 16 at the Msgr. Werner Activity Center.

HARTINGTON – Hartington-Newcastle took an 18-4 Wynot team to the wire Feb. before falling 44-41 at home after squeaking past Wausa Feb.7, 42-40, also at home.

WAKEFIELD – There are multiple reasons why the Cedar Catholic Trojans wrestling team should feel mighty good about itself as the district tournaments begin this weekend.

HARTINGTON – Hartington-Newcastle used three big wins to take the title in the Clark Division of the Lewis and Clark Conference Tournament over the past week.

Hartington-Newcastle was two baskets away from an appearance in the Clark Division finals of the Lewis & Clark Conference Basketball Tournaments last week, but eventually fell to Winside 44-40 in the semifinals and Plainview 51-46 in the third-place game after disposing of Osmond-Randolph in the opening round, 43-23.

HARTINGTON – The Hartington-Newcastle Wildcats headed into the Lewis and Clark Conference Tournament with a little momentum as they won a couple of games last week to improve to 7-8 on the season.

PONCA – The Wynot Blue Devils found it tough sledding at Ponca Thursday 

PONCA - The Wynot Lady Blue Devils travelled to Ponca to take on the highly rated Lady Indians Friday and were soundly defeated 51-29.

HARTINGTON – The Cedar Catholic Lady Trojans welcomed Pierce to the Monsignor Werner Activities Center Jan. 13 and the two teams arrived with identical 11-2 records.

WYNOT – The Wynot Lady Blue Devils continued their winning ways on Friday night as they beat a stubborn Plainview Lady Pirates club 42-34.

WAYNE – The Cedar Catholic Trojans had a pretty successful weekend as they outlasted Wayne 46-45 in a two-overtime thriller Friday and then drilled Guardian Angels Central Catholic 63-30 Saturday.

HARTINGTON – Frigid starts hindered Hartington-Newcastle in recent games as the Wildcats dropped a pair of games over the past week at Laurel-Concord-Coleridge 51-26 in Lewis & Clark Conference action and 45-41 to Crofton in non-league play at home.
