HARTINGTON – The Hartington Post 4 American Legion Juniors baseball team posted a couple of wins last week and now move on to the North Division finals of the Ralph Bishop League Tournament against Wayne June 29 in Hartington, with the first pitch set for 7 p.m.

WAKEFIELD/WAYNE – The Hartington Pony League tournament baseball team rolled to a title in the Mid-Summer Classic over this past weekend with wins over the Wayne tournament team 11-5 on June 23; the UBA Gladiators 6-5 on June 24; the Lincoln Cyclones 11-10 on June 25; and Ponca 9-1 on June 25.

MENNO, S.D. – The Wynot Expos scored early and often to take care of the Menno Mad Frogs 9-1 on June 25 to improve to 4-5 in South Central South Dakota League action.

Off to a great start

HARTINGTON – Although dropping its first game of the 2023 season, the Hartington Post 4 Junior American Legion baseball team completed a busy and successful week, winning four of five games.

OSMOND – The Hartington 18-and-under softball program has continued making progress, which was on full display at its league tournament held over the weekend.

HARTINGTON – The Hartington Post 4 Senior American Legion baseball team added three wins to its season total during a week that saw the squad in action four times.

BRANDON, S.D. – The Hartington Pony baseball squads are still rolling through their respective summer schedules, but the tournament team suffered its first setback of the season, losing 12-11 in heartbreaking fashion in the finals of a tournament in Brandon, S.D., to the Marshall Black team from Marshall, Minn.

WYNOT – The Wynot Expos dropped an extra-inning game to the Crofton Bluejays, 3-2, on June 18.

NORFOLK - Records were broken in the 10-year history of the Northeast Nebraska All-Star Football game played at Memorial Field in Norfolk, June 10.

HARTINGTON – It was a tournament weekend for the Hartington 12U and 18U softball teams as they entered the district fray.

HARTINGTON – Hartington 14-and-under baseball coach Cale Haberer has a unique problem – “problem” is definitely not the right word.

YANKTON, S.D. – The Wynot Expos held on to take a 6-5 South Central South Dakota League baseball contest from the Yankton Tappers on June 11.

NORFOLK – Laney Kathol and Meredith McGregor put on their Cedar Catholic jerseys for the last time on the volleyball court June 10 at the annual Northeast Nebraska All-Star Volleyball Game held at the Cox Activities Center on the campus of Northeast Community College in Norfolk.

HARTINGTON – The Hartington Senior American Legion baseball team finished a busy week with a couple of wins to even its showing for the seven-day period with a 2-2 record after dropping the first two contests.
