75 Years Ago - June 2, 1949 RANDOLPH – Displaced persons from stricken European areas arrived in Randolph the past week and have been settled on farms in this community through the efforts of Rev. Herman J. Kaup, St. Frances pastor for the Arch-Diocese of Omaha, outside of the city of Omaha.

RANDOLPH – Randolph is still without local police service as its new police chief continues to work on becoming certified.

RANDOLPH – The Middle Logan Creek Floodplain mitigation project will be wrapping up this summer. When construction crews and heavy machinery make their exodus from town, the project’s superintendent plans to stay behind and become a permanent part of the community.

75 Years Ago - May 26, 1949 RANDOLPH – Randolph will again have a town band this summer and the band will give weekly concerts, it was announced this week.

LAVISTA – Mark Linville, president and CEO of First State Bank in Randolph, was selected as the chair-elect of the Nebraska Bankers Association during the association’s annual convention in La Vista. He will assume the position of NBA Chair in May 2025.
