LAUREL – The Laurel-Concord- Coleridge FFA test plot is ready to be harvested.

HOMER – Laurel-Concord-Coleridge battled to the end, but came up just short of a trip to the Lewis and Clark Conference volleyball finals, dropping a semifinal match to Wynot 25-23, 25-18, 16-25, 16-25 and 10-15.

EMERSON – What was once a promising season came to an abrupt end as the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge football team fell to Tri County Northeast 50-14 in what turned out to be the last game for the Bears in 2023.

PENDER – For the third consecutive year, the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge boys cross country quintet is heading to Kearney Oct. 20 for the Nebraska Cross Country Championships at Kearney Country Club.

WAYNE – Laurel native Marc Manganaro was inducted into the Wayne State Athletic Hall of Fame Saturday evening during a banquet held at the Kanter Student Center.

HARTINGTON - Work at Cedar County’s new emergency communications tower site is nearly done.

WAUSA – With no chance of making the playoffs, the Randolph Cardinals hoped to finish their best season since 2019 in style.

PENDER – The Randolph boys cross country team competed at the D-2 district meet at Pender Oct. 11, finishing the season with some running their best times of the year.

RANDOLPH – Winning has been infrequent but that doesn’t mean the Randolph Lady Cardinals should be taken lightly on a volleyball court.
