COLERIDGE – A Coleridge woman was recognized for her involvement in the community, receiving the annual Coleridge Christians Caring Award.

Mary Biltoft was this year’s recipient for the award that’s been given annually to a deserving community member since 1993.

She was chosen by the Christian Caring Committee made up of Coleridge church clergy.

Bitloft was chosen for her behindthe- scenes activity in the community including with the Coleridge Community Club, TeamMates, the Coleridge Area Fund and her church.

“She doesn’t like to be recognized,” said Marti Nordby, Coleridge. “She’s very humble.”

The award was given as part of the annual Coleridge ecumenical Thanksgiving service.

The committee tricked Biltoft into attending the event, by asking her to help with the luncheon after the service so that she would be on hand to receive the award, Nordby said.

“It was a nice surprise,” she said.
