LAUREL – The Laurel-Concord- Coleridge Lady Bears volleyball team won two Lewis and Clark Conference matches last week with a three-set sweep over Tri County Northeast on Sept. 12 and a 3-2 win over Plainview in Laurel on Sept. 14.

WYNOT - The Wynot Blue Devils knocked off one of the top teams in Class D2 football Friday as they downed the Howells Dodge Jaguars 32-20. This game featured the quick strike aerial attack of the Blue Devils against the ground pound offense of the Jaguars.

Little League

The Hartington 3-4 grade and 5-6 grade football teams played in their first games of the season Sunday afternoon at the Hartington Community Complex. The 3-4 grade team lost 33-6 to Homer, while the 5-6 grade team defeated Ponca 42-21. The teams compete each Sunday through the season.
