HARTINGTON – The Hartington-Newcastle volleyball team dropped a couple of matches over the past week.

VERMILLION, S.D. – South Dakota is No. 15 in this week’s FCS Stats Perform Poll and No. 21 in the AFCA Coaches Poll released Monday morning.

BATTLE CREEK – As conference tournaments approach, Cedar Catholic split a pair of Mid-State Conference regular-season matches this past week with a hard-fought 3-2 match win over Battle Creek on the road Sept. 26 and another five-set match, this one at home to Guardian Angels Central Catholic on Sept. 28.

WAYNE – The Cedar Catholic Lady Trojans golf team has positioned themselves for a run at qualifying for the State tournament with a couple of top-seven team finishes in recent tournaments.

WYNOT – The Wynot Blue Devils picked up another win on Friday afternoon in their Homecoming football game against the Wausa Vikings.

HARTINGTON – For the first time during the 2023 campaign, the Hartington-Newcastle Wildcats put together a complete, solid four quarters of football.

OAKLAND – A couple of Class C2 football powers butted heads on Sept. 22 when Cedar Catholic traveled to Oakland to take on the Oakland-Craig Knights.

CREIGHTON – The Wynot Blue Devils football team kept its undefeated season going on Friday night as it easily dispatched the Creighton Bulldogs 54-14.
