Class of 1974

The Laurel-Concord Class of 1974 gathered recently at the home of classmate Marilyn (Eckert) Abts to celebrate their 50th year reunion. A total of 29 classmates spent the afternoon reminiscing and getting caught up on each other’s lives. A poster board was made remembering the nine classmates who are no longer with us. They are Anita Hanson, Mike Madsen, Randy Leapley, Sheryl Anderson, Marina Lenzen, Shirlene (Kardell) Boeckenhauer, Kirk McCoy, John Suber and Russell Anderson. Wayne State College alumni invited to submit work for juried alumni art exhibit

WAYNE – Wayne State College alumni are invited to submit original artwork for the Juried Alumni Art Exhibit being held in conjunction with Homecoming. The exhibit will run Oct. 4 through Nov. 13 in the Nordstrand Visual Arts Gallery, located in U.S. Conn Library on campus.

HARTINGTON – 4-H members across Cedar County are gearing up for the 2024 Cedar County Fair. A total of 40 4-H members participated in 4-H Project Day held June 6 in Hartington. Youth in attendance each made four projects to exhibit at the upcoming Cedar County Fair.
