HARTINGTON –Hartington-Newcastle won a thriller in overtime over Laurel-Concord-Coleridge at the HNS gymnasium Monday in Hartington.

HARTINGTON - The Cedar Catholic girls basketball team ended its regular season with a win and a couple of losses to finish the campaign with a 10-13 record as the Lady Trojans head into subdistrict action this week.

WAYNE – The Wynot Blue Devils were on a mission in Monday’s boys championship game of the 2024 Lewis and Clark Conference Basketball Tournament at Wayne State College.

WEST POINT – Cedar Catholic parlayed a couple of wins and a loss in the Mid-State Conference Tournament into some third-place hardware as the Trojans head into the final weeks of the regular season.

WAYNE – The Wynot Lady Blue Devils claimed yet another Lewis and Clark Conference Basketball Tournament championship Monday night at Wayne State College.

HARTINGTON - After an opening round bye in the Clark Division Tournament of the Lewis & Clark Conference Tournament, Hartington-Newcastle earned a spot in the tournament finals with a 51-39 win over Osmond-Randolph here on Feb. 1 to arrive at a date with Winnebago on Feb. 3 for the finals.

HARTINGTON – The Hartington-Newcastle Lady Wildcat basketball team ran into a tough stretch of teams last week, dropping regular season games to Plainview and Winnebago before losing in the opening round of the Lewis Division of the Lewis & Clark Conference Tournament to Wakefield, 48-38 on Jan. 27.

LINCOLN – On Tuesday, the Hartington-Newcastle boys bowling team headed to the State finals after an impressive late push turned into a District title against the defending State champions and host Wayne.

HARTINGTON – The Cedar Catholic Lady Trojans lost in the opening round of the Mid-State Conference Tournament to No. 2-seeded Guardian Angels Central Catholic 59-29 to land in the consolation bracket the rest of the way.

ATKINSON – The Cedar Catholic girls wrestling team made history recently as it competed in its first-ever postseason meet at West Holt in Atkinson last weekend.

WALTHILL – The fourth-seeded Wynot Blue Devils upset the top-seeded Walthill Blujays on Thursday night in Walthill.

RANDOLPH – The Osmond-Randolph Hawks faced another busy week in the Clark Division of the Lewis and Clark Conference Basketball Tournament.

HARTINGTON – The Hartington-Newcastle Wildcat basketball team is heating up at the right time of the season as they won a couple of games over the past week before heading into the Lewis & Clark Conference Tournament this week.

WYNOT – The Ponca Indians came to Wynot on Thursday and brought with them hopes of keeping their perfect win streak alive. The Indians were able to accomplish that goal but it would take double overtime to do it.

NIOBRARA – The Wynot Blue Devils ventured west Monday to take on the Cougars of Niobrara-Verdigre. The Devils mauled the Cougars to the tune of 69-23.

WAYNE –A season of progress and growing promise ended up paying dividends for the Hartington-Newcastle boys bowling team.
