COLERIDGE – The American Legion Post #114 and its Auxiliary Unit #114 held their monthly meetings June 5, at the Coleridge Community Building. The units jointly recited the Pledge of Allegiance. This evening four members of the Auxiliary were honored for their many years of membership: Carol Rae Hefner, 73 years; Janice Wilkerson, 71 years; Kay Hefner, 67 years; and Shirley Papenhausen was honored posthumously for 67 years of membership. Many members of their families were in attendance and a small reception was held.

HARTINGTON – The June 6 Clover Kid Camp hosted 46 Cedar County 4-H Clover Kids and 20 youth and adult volunteers at the Hartington Felber Park Shelter House for the annual Cedar County 4-H Clover Kid Camp. The event is sponsored by the Cedar County 4-H Council.
