BELLEVUE — LaVonne Luella Campbell, 86, died March 31, 2025.

Visitation was April 6 at Bellevue Memorial Chapel.

A memorial service was April 7 also at Bellevue Memorial Chapel. There was also a live broadcast on the Bellevue Chapel website, www.bellevuefuneralchapel. com.

Graveside services were April 8 at the Hartington City Cemetery. LaVonne was born March 14, 1939. She graduated from Dakota City High Schools, and worked at Zenith, assembling radios and TVs. She met her husband Wesley “Wes” via Sioux City Journal pen pal. They were married April 5, 1975, and moved to the farm near Hartington. Her hobbies included gardening, cooking and baking. Her garden included both flowers and vegetables and lots of house plants. They always had a big garden at the farm. She participated in and lead a women’s bible study group.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Campbell; parents, Lloyd and Luella Rich; and sister, Mildred Armstrong.

LaVonne is survived by her son, Kelly (Kerri) Campbell, Bellevue; grandchildren. Lily and Jonah Campbell. Bellevue; brothers, Vern (Hilda) Rich, Fort Smith, Ark.; Merle (Eleonor) Rich, Des Moines, Iowa; and Tom (Judy) Rich, Whiting, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
