COLERIDGE — Myron “Mike” P. Dirks, 64, Coleridge, died March 28, 2025, at his residence. Memorial services are planned for June 14, at 11 a.m., at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Hartington, with the Rev. Marilyn Hasemann officiating. Lunch will be provided. Private burial of his cremated remains will be at Lawn Ridge Cemetery, rural Coleridge. The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to services at the KC Hall. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington. Myron Phil was born Aug. 5, 1960, in Wayne, to Myron Duane “Mike” and Phyllis June (Koester) Dirks. He grew up in Dixon and Laurel before graduating from Coleridge High School in 1978. After high school he began farming with his dad and eventually took over the farming operation. Myron also did some trucking during this time.

Myron loved Harley Davidson motorcycles and had several over the years. He liked to fish and go to auctions.

Myron is survived by his five children, Mandy (Brian) Zessin, Madison; Tonya Dirks and Casey Kraulik, Rapid City, S.D.; Nicole (Troy) Bottolfsen, Hartington; Jessy (Shay) Dirks, Elgin; Collin Dirks and Caitlyn Hale, Omaha; 11 grandchildren, Alyssa, Whitney, Wyatt, Jocelyn, Athena, Odin, Eros, Keegan, Levi, Cooper and Willow; one great-grandchild, Arlo; mother of Myron’s children, Donna Oslund, Madison; four sisters, Claudet Wege, Coleridge; Vee Lage, Laurel; Carla (Mike) Jensen, Beemer; Terri (Roger) Maxon, Greenwood; andmany nieces and nephews.

Myron was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and aunts and uncles.
