COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa — Marcine “Marci” Rohrberg, 95, Council Bluffs, Iowa, formerly of Randolph, died peacefully April 2, 2025, at Bethany Lutheran Home, Council Bluffs, Iowa. Private family services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Norfolk. Home for Funerals-Randolph is in charge of arrangements. Marci was born April 18, 1929, to Edward and Rose (Bartak) Rethwisch in Belden. She graduated from Belden High in 1946, and taught country school before attending Wayne State College, where she graduated in 1951. Marci married Jack Rohrberg Sept. 3, 1954, at St. John’s Churchm Randolph. Marci taught Kindergarten in Sioux City, Iowa; Neligh; and Council Bluffs. She also attended classes at UNL. Marci had lots of interesting jobs over the years: aide in the Nebraska Unicameral, florist for Danielson’s Florist in Lincoln, and photographer/reporter for the Norfolk Daily News to name a few.

She also loved volunteering in places like the Joslyn Museum Gift Shop in Omaha, Rails West Railroad Museum, Children’s Square USA, and the Public Library all in Council Bluffs.

Marci enjoyed gardening, canning and sewing for her family and was a beloved and devoted Mom to her two daughters. She got much enjoyment from all kinds of art and music. She remained a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Wayne, until her passing.

Marci is survived by her daughter, Greta Rohrberg, Omaha, and brother-in-law, Charles Graham,Denver, Colo.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Alexis Ann; husband, Jack; sisters, Myrna Praetz and Rita Graham; and her parents.
