Kevin was born Nov. 22, 1958, in Norfolk, to Ray and Gladys Patent. Kevin grew up in Randolph, attending school in both Belden and Randolph before continuing his education at Wayne State College and Northeast Community College. After college, Kevin joined his father at Patent Electric, where he dedicated 44 years of passion and hard work. He married the love of his life, Alice (Wattier), Sept. 4, 1982, and together they raised two sons, Andrew and Jonathan. One of Kevin’s greatest joys was welcoming his daughters-in-law into the family and finally getting the daughters he had always hoped for.
Kevin had a passion for life and cherished the simple joys. He could often be found on the golf course with his closest friends, taking road trips in his beloved Ford Galaxy, or spending quality time with his sons and grandchildren, who brought endless happiness to his life.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Raymond August Patent, and his infant son, Ryan Patent.
He is survived by his mother, Gladys Patent (Dowling); his loving wife, Alice; his son, Andrew, wife, Nicole, and their son, Jameson; his son, Jonathan, wife, Cristin, and their children, August, Elliot and Trey; and also his sister, Jane (Lech), her husband, Mike, and their twin children, Matt and Jordan.
Kevin will be remembered for his hard work, kindness, and devotion to his family. His legacy of love and abundant laughter will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
