Roger was born Aug. 29, 1947, to Paul and Virginia (Graf) Young, Randolph. He attended elementary, middle, and high school in Randolph, graduating from Randolph High School in 1965. He went on to further his education at Milford Technical College and graduated in 1967 with a diploma in electrical services. He founded Roger Young Electric, Plumbing and Heating in 1970 and owned the business for 25 years before going to work for Kelly Electric in Kearney, and then Model Electric, Norfolk. He married Donna Graham Feb. 20, 1971, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Randolph.
