Survivors include her husband, Kevin Guenther; their two children and their spouses, Kami and Joe Patterson, San Clemente, Calif., and Holli and Stephen Banes, Canyon Lake, Calif.; four grandchildren, Trinity and Justus Patterson, and Kate and Collin Banes; three sisters and their spouses, Margie and Kevin Rneifl, Lincoln; Jeff and Jolene Steffen, Constance; and Tom and Janice Johnston, Sioux City, Iowa; four brothers and their spouses, Gary and Joselyn Arens, David and Ann Arens, Dan and Lorraine Arens, and Tony and Rhonda Arens, Crofton.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald Rudolph Arens and Lucille Olivia (Schieffer) Arens.

OWASSO, Okla. — Marie Guenther, 66, Owasso, Okla., died Nov. 30, 2024, peacefully in the comfort of her own home.

Marie was born Sept. 15,1958, in Crofton, to Gerald and Lucille Arens.

She grew up on a farm and attended St. Rose Catholic School and then Crofton High School, where she graduated. She married Kevin Guenther Aug. 19,1978, at St. Rose Catholic Church, Crofton. They lived on a farm in Wynot for three years, and then moved to Tulsa, Okla., where Marie started working at Baptist Retirement Village as a Certified Nurse’s Aide. She worked there for 22 years before retiring.
