Frank was born in Coleridge, to Frank Sr. and Lottie (Frerichs) Koester, in 1939.

He is survived by his wife, Patty, Burbank, S.D.; daughter, Cary (Duane) Wichman; daughter, Angie (Ryan) Border; and son, C.J. (Genean) Koester; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; a step son, Lloyd Humphrey; a step daughter, Robin Rupp; and a step grandson, Bobby Ortiz.

He was preceded in death by his infant son, his parents, and his sister, Phyllis Dirks.

Per Frank’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. His cremains will be buried in Coleridge at a later date.
