Dennis Allen “Denny” Sutton

RALEIGH, N.C. — Dennis Allen “Denny” Sutton died peacefully Oct. 23, 2024, near Raleigh, N.C. Denny was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many. A Graveside Memorial Service will be Nov. 7, at 10:30 a.m. at the Laurel Cemetery, Laurel. Military Honors will be by the Laurel American Legion Post 54 and the Laurel VFW Post #4504. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home, Wakefield. Denny was born in Philadelphia, Pa., to Boyd and Verna (Cameron) Sept. 27, 1946. He graduated from Laurel High School and the University of Nebraska. Denny enlisted in the U.S. Navy and proudly served for six years. Denny married to Joyce (Bose) for 57 years and they had three children, Steve, Michele and Matt. Denny worked as a quality control manager in manufacturing for all of his career. His greatest accomplishment was being a father and grandfather to ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild, whom he loved greatly.

Denny is survived by his wife, Joyce; brothers, Cam Sutton (Linda) and Robert Sutton (Nancy); and sister, Linda Lund (Sutton); sister-inlaw, Marlyce Benjamin; brother-in-law, Marlin (Mary) Bose; brotherin- Denny Sutton

law, Jim (Debbie) Bose; children, Steve Sutton, Matt (Jenny) Sutton and daughter, Michele (Eric) Dew; grandchildren, Olivia, Liam, Emmeline, Preston, Jenna, Ashton, Teegan, Jaxson, Alex and Mia; and great-grandchild, Blaire.

Denny is preceded in death by parents, Boyd and Verna; daughterin- law, Janelle Sutton (June 2024); brother-in-law, Rod Lund; fatherin- law, Paul Bose; mother-in-law, Luelle Bose; sister-in-law, Janice Bose; and brother-in-law, Don Benjamin.
