Private family inurnment was held at St. Frances Catholic Cemetery, rural Randolph.
Stonacek Funeral Chapel, Randolph, was in charge of the arrangements.
Ronald died suddenly Nov. 21, 2023, at his home in Lincoln. He had been mowing leaves off the lawn, decided to take a break and sit down on his bench on the front porch and died quickly and peacefully of a heart attack.
Ron was a farmer and business owner in the Randolph community for 40+ years. In 2001, he sold his business and moved to Lincoln to be near his children and grandchildren.
Ronald, son of Victor and Lucille (Heck) Seyl, was born June 14, 1940, in Belden. The family moved to Lake City, Iowa, in 1944, where he spent most of his younger years. They moved back to Nebraska in 1956, when his parents bought a farm west and north of Randolph. He met Dallette Leapley in 1958. They were married Nov. 22, 1958, until Dallette’s death July 1, 1995.
He later married Arthella Washburn April 4, 2003, in Lincoln. He was a wonderful dad and grandfather and he will be missed. Ronald is survived by wife, Arthella Seyl; four children, Barbara and Lance Mandernack, Omaha; Therese and Mike Campbell, Gretna; Conley and Magi Seyl, Las Vegas, Nev,; and Jennifer and Lyn Heaton, Lincoln; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Cathy) Seyl, Papillon; sister-in-law, Nadine Seyl, Newbern, Tenn.; sister, Carol Ann Asmussen, West Minster, Colo.; brother, Guy (Linda) Mueller, Sedona, Ariz.; and sister, Judy (Gary) Fuerhoff, Pierce.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dallette; parents, Victor and Lucille Seyl, Pierce; brothers, Dwayne, Newbern, Tenn., and Larry Seyl, Omaha.
Memorials are designated to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
