Johnathan Kock BELDEN — Johnathan W. Kock, 42, Belden, died unexpectedly Aug. 9, 2024, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha.

Funeral services will be Aug. 22, at 11 a.m., at the Evangelical Free Church, Concord, with the Rev. Todd Thelen officiating. Visitation will be 9-11 a.m., Thursday.

Burial will be at the Main Cemetery, Belgrade.

Pallbearers will be MJ Pavlik, Tyler Pavlik, Shawn Pavlik, Jon Cogdill, Steve Jenkins, Jody Campbell, Matt Tech and Dave Haddix.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home, Laurel.

Johnathan Wayne Kock was born Jan. 8, 1982, in Brush, Colo., to Wayne Carl and Deborah Lynn (Pavlik) Kock. John went to elementary school in Schuyler, and high school in Albion. John would then work in Columbus, and later on, working for Great Dane, Wayne. John married Emily Katherine Votta March 8, 2006, in Hartington, and together had four daughters. The family resided in Belden.

John also enjoyed working at Hillcrest Care Center, Laurel, as the maintenance director. John worked most recently as an Environmental/ Safety Coordinator at Prince Hydraulic Components since 2018. He also worked part-time at Campbell’s Service.

John for a time was a member of the Belden V olunteer Fire Department.

He enjoyed activities such as fishing and occasionally coon hunt ing with his close friend, J ody. John was a fan of Star Wars and Marvel movies. He also greatly enjoyed playing video games with his brothers, daughters, nieces and nephews. John was very much a family man as he always made sure to attend his daughters’ events, while embarrassing them at any chance he could get. John greatly enjoyed music and tried to attend many concerts with his wife, daughters, or anyone else he could convince to go. He was one that could easily make friends as he was kind-hearted and helpful to anyone he came in contact with.

The last gift he gave, was the gift of life by being an organ and tis sue donor.

John is survived by his wife, Emily, Belden; his four daughters, Izabella Kock, Wayne; Gabriella Kock, Wayne; and Stella and Ambriella Kock, Belden; parents, Wayne (Deborah) Kock, Cedar Rapids; two brothers, Justin Kock, Norfolk, and Joshua (Tonya) Kock, Norfolk; Emily’s father, Richard (Suzanne) Votta, Fremont; Emily’s mother, Katherine (Terry) Cogdill, Beverly Hills, Fla.; uncle, Bruce (Janice) Kock, David City; uncle, Russel Pavlik, Grand Island; uncle, Mark Pavlik, Central City; several brothers and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jason Kock; brother-inlaw, Daniel Cogdill; two uncles, David and Paul Kock; aunt, Jennifer Pavlik; maternal grandparents, Larry (Margene) Pavlik; paternal grandparents LaVern (Judith) Kock; and cousin, Zachary Pavlik.

In lieu of flowers the family req uests memorials be made out to the family for memorial donations to be yet determined.
