Summer is over in Laurel as school starts

LAUREL — Summer is officially over for most area students this wee k.

School bells rang in the 2024-25 school year at Laurel-Concord- Coleridge School Wednesday morning.

School was slated to dismiss at 1:10 p.m. Wednesday, however. The first full day of school is slated for Thursday.

School is scheduled to start at 8 a.m. each day. Dismissal for high school students will be at 3:40 each day, while elementary school and middle school students will have a 3:37 p.m. dismissal.

High school students began their first day of practice for fall sports on Monday.

Preschoolers, and the Level III program, will have their first day of school on Aug. 19.
