Posted in:

HARTINGTON — Hadley and Letty Klug, daughters of Brett and Karley Klug; Ellie Kathol, daughter of Tyler and Katrina Kathol, all of Hartington; and Everleigh Burbach, daughter of Jeff and Melinda Burbach, Crofton, all received a medal, a certificate of completion, their final prize and a free book from the Hartington Public Library in honor of their completion of looo Books Before Kindergarten program.

Hadley will attend Kindergarten at Holy Trinity Grade School this fall. She loves reading books, and her favorite is the “Gingerbread Man.” Letty is 3, and she likes Peppa Pig and puppies and all the construction site books. Ellie’s favorite book is “Tiny T-Rex” and the “Perfect Valentine,” and movie time at the library. She also loves the rainforest that was created in the library during summer reading this year. This fall Ellie will attend Hartington-Newcastle Public School.

Everleigh will attend kindergarten at Crof- ton Public School and her favorite books include anything pink and full of princesses. Her favorite color is rainbow. Everleigh loves coming to the library to play restaurant and feed the puppy dog. She also likes all the books that Mom picks out. This program was launched to prepare children for school, and to encourage more parent/child library visits. Books are logged and prizes are awarded along the way. One of the best ways to encourage pre-reading skills is to spend time sharing books each and every day. Reading provides Everleigh Burbach a solid foundation, a key to school and learning success.
