Hochstein accomplishes rare feat on the wrestling mat

HARTINGTON — Cedar Catholic sophomore-to-be Easton Hochstein completed a rare feat on the wrestling mat this year.

He is one of only 21 Nebraska wrestlers to earn the 2024 Triple Crown Award.

The Triple Crown Award is given to wrestlers who won the Nebraska USA Wrestling Association’s Folkstyle, Freestyle and Greco State Tournament all within the same year.

NEUSAW is a State wrestling organization that promotes all styles of wrestling.

Nebraska USA wrestling holds tournaments throughout the year.

The other Nebraska wrestlers earning the prestigious honor are: Emery Palser, Wyatt Hueftle, Ace Schweitzer, Tyler Harrill, Brylee Gugelman, Kayden Sipp, Kaleb Griffith, Gracie Obermiller, Preston O`Gorman, Victoria Powers, Maisley Martines, Lucas Allison, Jayden Jones, Jaxon Petersen, Jack Blair, Jaelyn Anderson, Caitlyn Sohm, Reagan Eaton, Xavier Engel, and Olivia Garrean.
