HARTINGTON — Hartington will come alive Saturday as the third annual Hartington Dayz celebration comes to town.

Many of the events will be in the downtown area, but many more will take place all over town.

The day will feature community garage sales, a fun run, a disc golf tournament and a cornhole tournament.

The 5k fun run is slated to get underway at 7 a.m., while a onemile run will take place at 8:15.

Arbor Care Center is also planning a car show that day.

Downtown businesses are planning sidewalk sales and a vendor fair is also planned for downtown.

If shopping makes a person hungry, there should be plenty of choices for good food, as food trucks will also be on hand to help feed the masses.

The day-long event will truly offer something for everyone as duck races, a foam party and a kids zone are also planned for the downtown area.

The event was once again planned and organized by the Hartington Chamber of Commerce. Organizers approached the City Council several months ago to make sure Broadway Avenue could be shut down for much of the day on Saturday.

At 7 p.m., Saturday night, Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot will take the stage for a street dance.
