Wayne State College alumni invited to submit work for juried alumni art exhibit

WAYNE – Wayne State College alumni are invited to submit original artwork for the Juried Alumni Art Exhibit being held in conjunction with Homecoming. The exhibit will run Oct. 4 through Nov. 13 in the Nordstrand Visual Arts Gallery, located in U.S. Conn Library on campus.

There is no application fee for this exhibit. Alumni are encouraged to submit work in any medium, except for works requiring a monitor or screen for display. All entries should be submitted digitally as PDFs, which include the following: an image of the work, the title, the date of creation, medium, and dimensions.

Contact Dr. Andy Haslit at anhasli1@wsc.edu for specific submission in structions and a prospectus. Haslit is a professor of art history at Wayne State and director of the Nordstrand Visual Arts Gallery.

Submissions will be accepted through July 14, and selected artists will be notified by the end of July. Works must be delivered or shipped to campus by Sept. 20. When the show concludes Nov. 13, artwork can be picked up Nov. 15-16, or arrangements for return shipping can be made.
