HARTINGTON - Cedar Catholic girl’s golf coach Sheila Jueden welcomed seven Lady Trojans for the first practice of the 2024 campaign, four seniors, one junior, one sophomore and a freshman.

The four seniors have played a lot of golf and will be a good core for this year’s varsity.

Maggie Dendinger, Josie Heine, Olivia Kleinschmit and Lauren Potts are the returning seniors. Camryn Loecker is the lone junior and Grace Kruse and Elsie Haahr are the sophomore and freshman respectively.

“We have looked very promising in practice thus far,” Jueden said. “These girls will surprise you.”

Cedar Catholic opens the season on Aug. 22 at the O’Neill Invitational before competing in a triangular with Laurel-Concord-Coleridge and Wayne at Cedar View Country Club in Laurel on Aug. 27.

The Lady Trojans will close out August at the Wayne Country Club for another invitational.

September will find Cedar Catholic in a dual with Crofton at Crofton on Sept. 3, the Stanton Invitational on Sept. 5 and a triangular with Norfolk Catholic and Pierce on Sept. 9 in Norfolk.

The Pierce Invitational is slated for Sept. 14, the Battle Creek Invite is set for Sept. 16 and a triangular with Pierce and Wayne will be played on Sept. 19 in Pierce. Cedar Catholic will host its own invitational on Sept. 23 before heading back to Wayne for a tournament on Sept. 26. The Mid State Conference Meet is scheduled for Oct. 3 in Norfolk and the District Meet will be played Oct. 7 or Oct. 8.

The 2024 Class C State Golf Championships are set for Oct. 14 and 15 at the Lake Maloney Golf Club in North Platte.

“I’m looking forward to the season,” Jueden said. “We’re really excited.”
