Johnson picks up State coaching award

Posted in:

WAYNE — Josh Johnson, Wayne High School boys and girls bowling coach, was named 2023-2024 Nebraska Coaches Association (NCA) State Champion Coach for Class B Girls Bowling during the July 21 NCA 56th annual awards banquet.

Johnson’s teams have earned state titles in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.

“I have been blessed to have a ton of great memories coaching bowling the past four years at Wayne High. Being able to coach such great kids and with such great people is the best. Being able to watch the kids have the chance to compete at a high level and do things to be proud of is awesome. Putting championship medals around the necks of these young ladies (including my daughter) and young men has been something I will remember forever,” Johnson said.
