Christensen earns $1500 scholarship from Goulds Water Technology

“Working in our family business from a young age has shaped who I am today. From handing tools to my dad during service calls to learning the intricacies of running a business over the past three years, these experiences have taught me invaluable lessons in hard work, responsibility and faith,” said Christensen. “As I prepare to start college, I am both excited and grateful for the opportunity to further my education and this scholarship will help me achieve my goals.”

Christensen, who is beginning her studies at Northeast Community College, Norfolk, this summer, is a standout student with a record of academic and extracurricular honors. Her high school achievements encompass both academic and athletic milestones, including receiving varsity letters in volleyball, basketball and track, setting a school record for the 800 relay and receiving multiple awards such as the President’s Education Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement. In addition to her academic success, Christensen participated in choir, swing choir and served as an extraordinary minister of holy communion.

HARTINGTON — Goulds Water Technology (GWT), a Xylem brand, is continuing its tradition of supporting outstanding students with the 2024 Goulds Professional Dealers Association (GPDA) scholarship. This year, Faith Christensen, Hartington, has been selected as one of the recipients of a $1500 scholarship.

Christensen Well & Irrigation Inc., the family-run business where Faith was brought up, celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2023 as a local leading provider of water well drilling services.
