PIERCE – The 2025 Pierce County 4-H Speech Contest and Illustrated Presentation was held April 7 at the Extension Office Meeting Room.
In Junior Division Public Speaking, Beckett Marks’ speech “The Hammer” received a purple ribbon and Grand Champion Junior Speech. Beckett received a $25 registration scholarship to a 2025 4-H event of his choice, sponsored by The Randolph Times.
Henley Marks’ speech “Taking Care of Orphan Calves” received a purple ribbon and Reserve Champion. Beckett and Henley are able to represent Pierce County at the state communication contest June 20 in Lincoln.
Amberlin Marks received a purple and Grand Champion with her speech, “Caring for Orphan Calves” in Public Speaking Intermediate Division. Amberlin was awarded with a $25 registration scholarship to a 2025 4-H event of her choice, sponsored by Pierce Dental Office. Luke Bauermeister received a purple and Reserve Champion with his speech “Nebraska Grasslands.”
Amberlin and Luke are able to represent Pierce County at the state communication contest June 20 in Lincoln.
Eleanor Bauermeister received a purple and Grand Champion with her speech, “Eggs are Egg-cellent” in the Public Speaking Senior Division. Eleanor was awarded with a $90 registration scholarship to a 2025 4-H event of her choice, sponsored by Midwest Bank of Pierce, Security Bank of Osmond and Midwest Bank of Plainview. Eleanor will be able to attend the state communication contest June 20 in Lincoln.
In the Clover Bud division, Riley Kuhl gave her speech, “4-H Fable” and Emma Kuhl gave her speech “4-H Pledge.” Both received a Clover Bud ribbon.
For Illustration Presentation Junior Division, Brielle Backer presented “Feeding and Brushing Belle.” Brielle received purple, Grand Champion, and received a $90 dollar registration scholarship to a 2025 4-H event of her choice.
This scholarship is sponsored by Midwest Bank of Pierce, Security Bank of Osmond and Midwest Bank of Plainview.
For Illustration Presentation Intermediate Division, Emillee Backer presented “Hungry? Try Trail Mix.”
She received purple and Grand Champion. Brielle and Emillee will be able to attend the state communication contest June 19 in Lincoln.
