Athletes compete at first outdoor track and field meet

PLAINVIEW – Randolph track and field athletes went headfirst into cold, wind and rain in their first outdoor meet - the Ray Doerr Memorial Invite here Friday.

Randolph competed with 12 other teams at the meet with the following results: 

Boys 100-meter run: Milo Rayford, 12th place, 12.82; Kaden Thorell, 19th place, 12.99.

Girls 100-meter run: Abbey Backer, 16th place, 14.48; Gracie Wortman, 35th place, 16.30; Bria Reimers, 37th place, 16.74.

Girls 200-meter run: Abbey Backer, 12th place, 30.93; Bria Reimers, 30th place, 35.33; Braylee Kelly, 31st place, 35.50; Karma Henry, 36th place, 38.39; Madelyn Aulner, 38th plan, 40.43.

Boys 400-meter run: Milo Rayford, 10th place, 58.76. 

Girls 400-meter run: Emily Gilliland, 13th place, 1:13.61; Brooke Meier, 17th plan, 1:15.21.

Girls 800-meter run: Emily Gilliland, ninth place, 2:52.53; Jenna Guenther, 21st place, 3:38.20; Sydney Robinson, 22nd place, 3:38.81.

Boys 300-meter hurdles, 36 inch: Jaylen Junck, 13th place, 51.92.

Girls 4x100 relay: Lilly Kuchta, Mabel Ngebeh, Bria Reimers, Abbey Backer, sixth place, 1:00.70.

Boys shot put: Stewart Umberger, ninth place, 39-10. 

Girls shot put: Mabel Ngebeh, 11th place, 26-11; Gracie Wortman, 14th place, 24-5.

Girls discus: Mabel Ngebeh, 12th place, 78-5; Delayne Thelen, 33rd place, 49-7; Madelyn Aulner, 35th place, 45-2.

Girls high jump: Emily Gilliland, 14th place, 4-0. 

Boys long jump: Jaylen Junck, 28th place, 14-3.25; Kaden Thorell, 34th place, 13-6.

Girls long jump: Abbey Backer, 16th place, 13-2; Jenna Guenther, 22nd place, 12-5.5; Lilly Kuchta, 24th place, 119.75; Bria Reimers, 27th place, 11-6; Sydney Robinson, 29th place, 11-4.

Boys triple jump: Brecken Shearer, 18th place, 3110.5; Jaylen Junck, 23rd place, 30-7.

Girls triple jump: Lilly Kuchta, 10th place, 26-8; Jenna Guenther, 11th place, 25-8.5; Sydney Robinson, 12th place, 25-7.

Athletes competed at Battle Creek Tuesday and will head to Hartington on April 15.
