LCC students take part in Class C All State Honor Band

KEARNEY — The 39th annual Class C All State Band Concert was held March 29, at Kearney High School.

The Junior High State Band was conducted by Carrie Jensen of Norfolk Public School.

The following Laurel-Concord-Coleridge junior high band members were accepted into and participated in All State Band: Alex Allison-tenor saxophone, Caden Barnes-batter percussion, Owen Johnson-alto saxophone, and Foster Stone-trumpet. These four LCC junior high band members were part of the 72 piece band.

LCC students Paul Allisontrombone, Mara Dropperstenor saxophone, and Christian Staples-trumpet were members of the high school Symphonic State Band.

The Symphonic Band was under the direction of Eric Snyder, retired and adjunct music professor at Wayne State College.

The high school State Wind Ensemble was under the direction of Nathan LeFeber, band director of Kearney High School.

Faith Galvin-oboe and Derek Nelson-batter percussion were members of the Wind Ensemble.

All these LCC band members received medals at State Band.

LCC Jr. High musicians Caden Barnes, Owen Johnson, Alex Allison, and Foster Stone earned spots in the Class C Junior High All State Band.

Faith Galvin and Derek Nelson were named to the Class C All State Band in the Wind Ensemble.
