LAUREL—A trio of LCC athletes put together some of the best scoring outputs in Cedar County this season.
LCC junior Dillan Wolfgram led all Cedar County athletes this season with 541 points.
He topped Cedar Catholic’s James Kaiser for top honors on the Cedar County Scoring Charts. Kaiser led the County last year in scoring, but missed most of the early-season action due to a football injury.

VERMILLION, S.D. —The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge track team started the year March 24 at the University of South Dakota Dan Lennon Meet.
The two-day event had nearly 3200 high school athletes from the region participate.
LCC competed on the second day of the event with other Class C schools. With 58 schools attending, there were practically 16 heats of each event, causing confusion and logistical nightmares.
Even with the large number of athletes competing, the Bears fared very well.

LAUREL—Several Laurel-Concord- Coleridge athletes have hauled in post-season basketball honors.
The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears Dillan Wolfgram was listed as a Class C-2 Second team All-State selection by both the Omaha World Herad and Lincoln Journal Star.
Wolfgram finished his junior year with a county-high 541 points.

LAUREL—Wynot senior Jenna Heine, not only helped her Lady Blue Devil teammates make it into the state title game for the sixth straight year, she also became Cedar County’s top girls basketball scorer this season.
Heine led all competitors this season, hitting for 412 points this season.
In all, Wynot had four girls make the Top 10 list this season. Threepoint shooting ace Danielle Wieseler, Cortney Arkfeld and Kristie Bruening also made the elite list.

COLERIDGE—Disaster kits and pre-programmed weather radios were handed out to Coleridge residents March 24 as part of Severe Weather Awareness Week.
Other pick-up sites included Wakefield, Wisner, Pilger and Stanton— all areas adversely affected by tornadoes last summer.
