National Library Week to be celebrated locally

RANDOLPH – The Lied Randolph Public Library will be celebrating National Library Week April 6-12 with events at the library and also online.

The library will host a guessing game and a Dragon and Friends coloring contest at the library. The winner of the coloring contest will be the subject of an official Dragon and Friends trading card.

So that patrons don’t judge a book by its cover, librarians will wrap up books to check out, blocking the cover.

The library will also post trivia daily on its Facebook page as part of the week’s events.

Along with events for National Library Week, the library has its regular activities planned including chess club, afterschool programs and more.

This weekend is the library’s annual rummage sale. The sale will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday, April 5, and 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, April 5, at the city auditorium.
