Randolph athletes receive postseason recognition

RANDOLPH - The Randolph Cardinal and Lady Cardinal basketball teams placed four athletes on the Lewis & Clark All-Conference and All-Conference honorable mention lists as voted on by the league coaches.

Lady CardinalnAbbey Backer was named honorable mention on the girls’ team.

Lienemann was the leading scorer for the Cards and averaged more than 15 points per game for Coach Cory Simpson and the Cardinals.

He also grabbed about four rebounds, three assists, and 1.5 steals each time he took the court.

Harder was the leading rebounder on the team including a season-high 12 in a game against Walthill. He also scored 10 points in that contest to record a double-double.

Samano did a lot of the dirty work inside and managed a couple of double-doubles over the course of the year.

He had 10 points and 10 rebounds against Homer and 16 points and 10 rebounds against Walthill.
