RANDOLPH – Randolph Public Schools has hired a new high school principal and athletic director.
At a special meeting, the school board approved the contract for Kyle Conroy to fill the role vacated by Brandi Bartels. The board also officially accepted her resignation at the special meeting. She will be the next superintendent at Twin River Public Schools in Genoa.
Fifteen candidates applied for the Randolph principal position and three were interviewed, said Superintendent Daryl Schrunk.
Conroy has taught in Kansas and Nebraska including nine years as a K-12 PE/Health teacher at Silver Lake; two years as 6-8 PE teacher at Elkhorn Ridge Middle School; two years as K-4 PE teacher at Wabaunsee, Kan.; and two years as a paraprofessional at Manhattan High School, Kan.
Conroy earned a bachelor’s degree in K-12 PE/Health Education from Peru State College in 2010; a master’s degree in PE/ Health/Recreation from Emporia State in 2015; and is currently finishing his master’s degree in school administration/athletic administration from Wayne State College.
“As I step into this role, I want you to know that I value collaboration and open communication,” he said. “Together, we will work towards creating an even stronger learning environment for our students, one where each child feels valued, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.”
Conroy is married to Kayla and they have three sons, Christian, 9; Archer, 7; and Knox, 3. Kayla is a veterinarian.
He calls himself a history buff, and enjoys all Husker sports, the 49ers and Rockies. Conroy and his family enjoy visiting state parks.
