Heading North
Despite recent winter storm warnings and blizzard-like conditions, signs of spring have been popping up all over. Geese have been flying overhead for a few days now, and robins have even been spotted. Following last week’s storm, which brought only a few inches of snow, the temperature started warming up and the snow was gone within a couple days. After that, the temperature was in the high 60s and even touched the 70s before it cooled down again Tuesday with another winter storm expected to hit the region on Wednesday. Once this latest storm goes through, temperatures are expected to stay in the 40s and 50s for awhile — typical Nebraska springtime weather. Regina Lorenz | for the Laurel Advocate
