LCC Middle School hosts Honor Band

LAUREL — On Thursday, March 13, the Laurel Concord Coleridge Middle School hosted the second annual LCC fifth and sixth Grade Honor Band.

Ninety fifth and sixth grade band members from six area schools spent the afternoon practicing as a mass band on the following songs: “Blackbeard”, “Dragon Dance”, “Shadow Fire”, and “Warp Speed”.

The schools were: Allen, LCC, Palmer, Randolph, Wakefield, and Wynot.

The clinician was Anna Sake, band director, from Palmer Public School. Thank you to our sponsors for their generous donations helping to make the event such a success: Citizens Bank, Northeast Nebraska Insurance Agency, and Security Bank all of Laurel.

LCC band members participating in the honor band were: Flutes: Kimber Bloom, Summer Burns, Autumn Funk, and Isabella Lawyer; Clarinets: Maya Brummels, Rilyn Hangman and Reese Jelinek; Alto Saxophone: Andre Badley; Trumpets: Reuben Badley, Kylee Bloom, Rayne Conaway, Hannah Detlefsen, Graham Ebberson, Corbin Garcia, Valarie Nelson, and Hadley Nordby; Trombones: Elliot Barnes, Aizlynn Kossler, and Mason Wiebelhaus; Baritone: Avri Carson; Bells: Lizzie Corson; Batter Percussion: Darian Boysen, Camryn Campbell, Tenlie Christiansen, Cooper Detlefsen, Rhett Egger, and Ryker Settje.
