World Speech Day to be held at Wayne State March 17

WAYNE – Your voice matters. Wayne State College invites community members to freely express important and not-so-important ideas at the ninth annual World Speech Day from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday, March 17, in the Kanter Student Center atrium on campus.

The event is free and open to the public, and college and high school students as well.

Participants are encouraged to speak freely on any topic. Engaging activities include “Spin the Wheel of Ideas” and “Pin Your Ideas to the Wall.” This great learning opportunity features food, prizes, activities, and cool Wayne State swag.

World Speech Day is a global event locally sponsored by the Wayne State Senior Seminar Communication Arts degree students, under the direction of Dr. Teresa Morales, professor of communication at Wayne State, and the Civic Leadership at Wayne State (CLAWS) Club.

For more information, contact Morales at [email protected].
