RANDOLPH - A young wrestler will follow in his brothers’ footsteps by competing in state wrestling this year.
Reid Junck watched his brothers, Gage Jensen and Cole Jensen, compete at the state level last week and now he will be doing the same at the Nebraska USA Wrestling State Tournament March 14-16.
In all, eight from Randolph’s Youth Wrestling Club will be competing at state after qualifying at the district meet March 1 in O’Neill. Other state qualifiers include Elijah Santos, Bryant English, Jackson Dockhorn, Micah Alder, Karsyn English, Jace Brodersen and Adam Miller.
District results are: Reid Junck, first place; Bryant English, Jackson Dockhorn, second place; Elijah Santos, Karsyn English, Jace Brodersen, Adam Miller, third place; Micah Alder, fourth place; Lukas Swantek, Emma Naslund, fifth place; Braxton Dorcey, Brexton Lewon, sixth place. Lauren Miller, Eli Wortman, Robby Dorcey, Tristyn Tjaden and Trey Tjaden also participated.
