LCC Speech team competes in Wisner meet

WISNER — On Feb. 22, the LCC Speech team traveled to Wisner for the Gator Gab-Fest meet.

The team scored 36 points, putting them at 14th. Several members of the team were absent due to state cheer participation.

Individuals placed either in the top Finals, Next-in, or Merit categories. For top Finals, Kolten Settje placed second in Humorous Prose, and Ava Christiansen and Jolynn Kinkaid placed sixth in Duet Acting.

For Next-in, Kennedy Hall placed third in Informative Speaking and seventh in Persuasive Speaking. Cloey Young placed sixth in Poetry.

For Merit, Kennedy Hall placed third in Extemporaneous Speaking, and Allysa Paulhamus placed fifth in Serious Prose.
