State Cheer

The LCC Bear Squad Dance Team competed in the Nebraska State Cheer & Dance Championships Feb. 20-22 at Grand Island’s Heartland Event Center. The team competed in Pom and Hip Hop events. One of the routines featured (back row) Karli Ferris and Carlie Kvols , (front row) Ava Christensen and Tali Erwin. This is the eighth year the Dance Team has competed. They were awarded the Team Academic Excellence Award for having a team average GPA over 3.0. The academic award acknowledges how well rounded the girls are. Between dance, volleyball, golf, basketball, track, FFA, FBLA, FCCLA, One Act, cheer, and many other clubs they are still able to keep their grades up.
