LAUREL — Cliff Beckley arrived Saturday from Fairfax, S.D., with a car of immigrant moveables and is moving onto the John Heitman farm northwest of Laurel, which he purchased last fall. Heitman will move onto a farm he purchased near Hartington.

LAUREL — The Laurel town basketball team defeated the Allen team here by a score of 20-17.

LAUREL — Jess Morano & Co., E.Neito being the Co. - have rented the J.H. Coburn store room and expects to open a restaurant there within the next two weeks.
Morano has had experience in this line of work and for the past six months has been in South Dakota.
Neita does not expect to work at the business but will continue to work for E.L. Dimick in the plumbing business.

LAUREL — Mr. and Mrs. Chet Schuler are moving into the Ren Dennis property this week. The property was formerly occupied by Mr. and Mrs. George Dennis who are moving from the city.

CONCORD — The village of Concord voted a $1,500 bond at the special election which has been called to decide whether or not a modern water system should be installed. The election was in favor of the bond, 88-18.
