FFA activities keep local chapter busy

LAUREL — The LCC FFA Chapter has been very busy this month.

For FFA Week, several activities took place.

Thursday-FFA Officer tradition is to serve high school teachers breakfast in the teacher’s lounge before school as a thank you for all they do for our organization.

Friday-Ag in the Classroom FFA Members spent the afternoon with the elementary students. They drew pictures and were entered into the Nebraska Department of Ag 2025 Poster Contest “Agriculture is Amazing.”

Following that the kindergarten through second were read books by Amanda Radke and the third through fifth grades played Ag Olympic games in the Legacy Gym where they got to dress up like a farmer, race ponies, rope a bull, and chase the chicken back to the nest.

A snack was also provided by the FFA chapter for all the students.

Sunday-was the annual FFA Breakfast served at the High School Commons area at LCC.

Pancakes, sausage, biscuits and gravy, along with scrambled eggs were served. The chapter likes to offer this to the community to show appeciation for all of the great community support the local FFA Chapter gets through the year.

The FFA members are now in their busiest time of the year.
