Season comes to an end for Lady Bears

As was reported in last week’s edition of the Laurel Advocate, the Laurel-Concord-ColeridgeLadyBears were eliminated from post season action with a 59-53 loss to Logan View/Scribner-Snyder to end the season 12-12.

The Lady Bears got 24 points from sophomore Rena Rasmussen and 15 pointsfromclassmate,KaidaEriksen, whichincludeda5-for-7performance from behind the 3-point line, but the scoring output wasn’t quite enough as the Raiders pulled off the mild upset.

Lainey Schutte added nine points and pulled down eight rebounds, Rasmussen also hauled in eight missed shots.

CarlieKvolsandSchuttedistributed four assists in the game and Kvols had a blocked shot.

Scotus Central Catholic eventually won the C1-4 Sub-District with a 4837 win over Battle Creek in the finals.
