WYNOT — In the final regular season game for both teams Wynot topped the Laurel Concord Coleridge boys 58-49 Friday.
It took a 12-5 fourth quarter rally for the Blue Devils to earn the win.
Wynot got double-figure scoring from three players in this one. Kotner Koch led the Blue Devils with his 17 points. Justin Heimes hit for 13 points and Andrew Haberman helped with his 10 points.
LCC also had a trio of double-figure scorers. Gibson Roberts paced the Bear attack with 16 points. Eli Haisch connected for 12 points and Tanner Thompson chipped in with 11 points for the visitors.
The Bears got going early thanks to treys by Gibson Roberts, Eli Haisch and five points from Tanner Korth as they jumped off to an early lead.
Wynot rallied late in the period behind five points from Justin Heimes and three-pointers from Devin Brummer and Cooper Oligmueller, but the Blue Devils trailed 16-12 at the end of one quarter.
In the second quarter Laurel got two more threes by Gibson Roberts and a basket by Tanner Thompson. Wynot rallied behind a scoring burst by Kotner Koch who hit for nine points and Devin Brummer hit a second trey to give Wynot a 30-26 halftime lead.
The Bears would reverse the score in the third quarter. LCC was led by seven points by Tanner Thompson. Six points each from a pair of threes by Eli Haisch and six points as well by Tanner Thompson to help account for their 18 points in the quarter.
Wynot would get 16 points in the third period. They got five points each from Andrew Haberman and Kotner Koch and four more points from Justin Heimes to help them hold onto the 46-44 lead going into the final quarter of play.
The fourth quarter saw the Devils gain the upper hand as they went on a 12-5 run. Wynot pulled away led by four points each from Andrew Haberman and Kotner Koch and some free throws.
