LCC speech team competes at Wakefield event

WAKEFIELD — On Friday, Feb. 7, the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge speech team went to Wakefield to compete in competition at the Sweet Meet.

LCC team members picked up several awards for their efforts at the meet.

In the Varsity competition: Emma Sohler and Kolten Settje placed fourth in Duet Acting and Kolten Settje got fourth in Humorous. The Junior Varsity team placed sixth overall, while the LCC Varsity team placed seventh on the day.

On the Junior Varsity team: Faith Galvin placed fourth in Entertainment, Kennedy Hall placed fourth in Extemp, Stella Kock, Ava Christiansen, Mavis Jonas and Tanya Miranda placed third in OID, and Ava Reifenrath placed sixth in Persuasive.
