HARTINGTON — The Cedar Catholic wrestling team earned another tournament title, winning the Clarkson-Leigh Invitational Saturday.
The Trojans used 161.5 points to outdistance Bishop Neumann which posted 152.5 team points.
Columbus Lakeview was third with 126, Crofton/Bloomfield was fourth with 124.5 and Tekamah-Herman rounded out the top five with 119.5.
Cedar Catholic crowned five individual champions on the day and had one wrestler grab a silver medal.
Maverick Heine (126), Braeden Kleinschmit (132), Bodie Hochstein (138), Easton Hochstein (144) and Brady Hochstein (165) all won their respective weight classes.
Brady and Easton Hochstein and Kleinschmit all remained unbeaten on the season as the team prepares for the upcoming district meet.
Grady Lammers placed second at 106. The Trojans will compete in the C-2 District Wrestling Tournament Feb. 15 in Tekamah.
Bishop Neumann, Conestoga, David City, Johnson County Central, Logan View, Louisville, Milford, Ponca, Stanton Tekamah-Herman, Twin River, Wakefield, West Point-Beemer, Winnebago, and Wood River will join Cedar Catholic in the district.
The 2025 Nebraska State Individual Wrestling Tournament is slated for Feb. 20-22 at the CHI Health Center Arena in Omaha.
The top four individuals in each weight class from the districts will move on to wrestle in Omaha.
